“How
funny the thought of me dancing round a pole….actually I couldn't
be more wrong! It was a physical exhaustion after my first lesson,
but I thought I would go back as the pain in my arms would not beat
me - and I’m so glad it didn't!
The
fantastic thing about this type of dancing is you may make mistakes,
no matter how silly, but everyone is there cheering you on and supporting
you the whole way! It's funny, no matter what you think you can't
do on the pole, there is always Kylie showing you how it's done
step-by-step and everyone else encouraging you to try, try again!
Hanging
upside down seems to be my favourite thing right now, but the best
part is, I have only had 6 lessons so far! 6 lessons and I’m
hanging upside down! I was so proud of myself! People say I am like
a puppy who is going through training.....most likely true, but
lucky for me, Kylie is so patient and understanding that my thirst
can sometimes be more than I can handle, but she teaches me and
guides me through my moves and is a pro!
I
would so strongly recommend ladies coming along and having a go.
It's amazing what you can learn in an hour and a half and what you
are capable of if you try! I am so glad that I agreed to go with
my friend and give it a go! It's boosted my confidence no end! I
am that much more confident, I even did a promotion's night at Pacific
Edge in Romford with some of the other girl's from Polesation.
Kylie
is a wonder!! She is the most talented person when it comes to dancing
and teaching it! I would never know what I'd do now, if it wasn't
for her working her magic!! She's an angel, a dancing angel. You
need to see it to believe it. So come along and have a go, it’s
got to be the best move I ever made!”

“About 6 weeks ago a friend called me
all excited and said she had found the best exercise in the world,
had given up her gym membership and was feeling the most toned she
had in ages! I thought quick you have to tell me what this is all
about.......then she just said Pole Dancing!! I nearly fell of my
chair!
So
I bravely decided to set foot into the class and I haven't looked
back, its amazing!! I don't think I've felt this body confident
in years!! I can do things I never thought I would be able to and
am looking forward to learning more and becoming even more flexible
and acrobatic!!
I
even took my newly honed skill onto the dance floor of the local
nightclub to promote our weekly classes! If you want to have fun
every week and actually look forward to going to the gym then this
is the workout for you!! Kylie is truly inspirational as a teacher
and I don't think there is a move I wouldn't want to try as you
get all the encouragement you need from her and the other girls
in the class”

"I
had my arm twisted at the end of 2005 to join a pole dancing class,
as I was expecting to find the stereotypical pole dancer and equally
intimidating students I was not particularly confident about going
along… The main reason for my visit was not to learn to gyrate around
a pole in front of eager men but to lose a few pounds and feel less
guilty about my appalling lack of exercise…. I also felt that pole
dancing might offer something interesting enough to enable me to
forget about exactly how many calories I was burning per minute
unlike my usual slog on a treadmill… I was pleasantly surprised
to find myself in the company of likeminded professional and friendly
ladies and a positively lovely instructor who instantly made me
feel at ease and excited about the class.
In
the next few days, I couldn't put my coat on as my muscles where
so tired something I felt proved that I had actually worked a lot
harder in those few hours than I had done in all of my time going
to the gym… in actual fact I cancelled my membership the same week
and in turn decided that pole dancing would be my new way of looking
after myself, that was how much I enjoyed it!
A
few months on with my newly found commitment to exercise I now have
a certificate to prove my new and sexy skill, which takes a proud
and unusual place alongside my professional and academic qualifications.
I have made new friends, had blisters and bruises to prove it!
In
my opinion pole dancing and particularly working under the tutor
ship of Kylie has given me a renewed confidence, not only have I
lost weight, toned up and made new friends, my boyfriends pretty
impressed with the changes too… Unfortunately (or even fortunately)
for him I no longer go to sleep thinking about weddings and large
engagement rings, instead my thoughts turn immediately to pole dancing
and I often find myself imagining myself spinning around a pole
upside down and executing the more advanced moves with ease and
elegance!
I
would recommend it to anyone of any shape, size or background as
pole dancing as a dance form or exercise is utterly compelling and
being part of the Polesation classes will dispel any myths around
pole dancing and the people who choose to do it!"
